A FastTransfer How To
If you’ve already e-filed your previous year’s heavy vehicle use tax with ExpressTruckTax, then it’s time to get in the fast lane and FastTransfer your tax info to this year’s return.
Here is everything you need to know about how to use the FastTransfer Feature in ExpressTruckTax:
- Step One: Login to your account and select “Start” under Form 2290
- Step Two: Choose your first use month
- Step Three: If you have a previous year’s return that has been accepted by the IRS, the FastTransfer Feature will ask whether you want to continue with the previous return or want to create a new one. Select “Continue” under “Previously Accepted Return.”
- Step Four: On the next screen, under Action select “Copy this Return”
- Step Five: If there are any changes that need to be made, you can make them here. Otherwise, select “Review” to check your Form 2290 for any errors.
- Step Six: Submit your return to the IRS.
