As you may know, March is Women’s History Month. Here at ExpressTruckTax we want to celebrate and highlight the accomplishments of women in the trucking industry. The trucking industry has been thought to be a mostly male-dominated industry, but in recent years more and more women have started trucking, some even going as far as starting their own trucking companies.
Each week in March we will feature different women-owned trucking companies and this week we are focusing on Serita Lockley.
Serita Lockley is the owner of Lady Lockley’s Trucking LLC as well as Like Minded Links LLC, a consulting company dedicated to guiding people through the process of getting into the trucking industry and helping them succeed. According to the introduction on her website, Lockley states she is “a no-nonsense, positive professional whose first priority is always the interests of my clients; providing capability, adaptability, and scalability through consultation and mentorship.” Lockley also has started 3 other successful businesses.
Lockley has had her own trucking business, Lady Lockley’s Trucking LLC, for over 10 years. She appeared in the Amazon Prime Video docuseries “Regular Heroes”, Trucknhustle podcast episode 74, and was also featured in Out Front Magazine.
Currently, Lockley is active on Instagram @ladylockleystrucking within the trucking industry and actively seeks to help people get their start in the trucking industry. She is one of the many women helping to pave the way for women in the trucking industry.
